The APWA Mobile Dispensary serves as a vital healthcare initiative, delivering essential medical services to underserved communities across Multan city. Equipped with a dedicated team comprising a Medical Officer, Lady Health Visitor (LHV), and Dispenser, the mobile dispensary is committed to providing quality healthcare directly at the doorstep of vulnerable populations.
Each medical camp ensures that women, in particular, receive proper medical attention tailored to their specific health needs. The LHV and Medical Officer play a crucial role in diagnosing health conditions, offering medical advice, and addressing maternal and child health concerns. Their combined expertise ensures that women benefit from accurate diagnoses, professional counseling, and timely treatments, fostering better health outcomes.
In addition to health consultations, the dispensary conducts basic diagnostic tests, including random blood sugar and pregnancy tests, while dispensing prescribed medicines to address immediate health needs. During the year, the APWA Mobile Dispensary organized 52 medical camps, serving 12906 patients, effectively promoting preventive and curative healthcare in marginalized communities.
This initiative underscores APWA’s commitment to bridging healthcare gaps and empowering women through accessible and professional medical care.
