APWA Multan

Awareness Raising

At APWA Multan, our mandate is to foster a society where women and children are protected, informed, and economically independent. Our diverse awareness programs translate this mission into community action by addressing the most pressing social, health, and economic challenges of our time.

Advocacy & Social Inclusion

We are committed to the global fight for gender equality and dignity.

  • 16 Days of Activism: For the past two years, APWA Multan has led local celebrations and advocacy for this global movement to end gender-based violence.

  • International Observances: We celebrate International Women’s Day and International Disability Day, where we actively support inclusivity by distributing wheelchairs to persons with disabilities (PWDs).

  • Workplace Dignity: Specialized sessions on Harassment at the Workplace empower professional women to recognize their rights and ensure a safe working environment.

Health & Holistic Wellness

Our health initiatives provide both clinical support and preventative education:

  • Maternal & Oral Health: Led by experts like Dr. Shehla, our maternal healthcare camps prioritize mother and child wellness. We also observe World Oral Health Day to promote dental hygiene.

  • Disease Prevention: Our Pink Ribbon campaigns raise vital awareness for breast cancer detection, while our Smog Awareness sessions address the environmental health risks facing our city.

  • Youth Mental Health: We facilitate mental health sessions for the youth, providing them with the psychological tools needed to cope with life stress during critical transitions.

Economic Empowerment & Life Skills

To support the economic independence of women, we bridge the gap between policy and practice:

  • Financial Literacy: In collaboration with provincial government initiatives, we host awareness sessions on banking products specifically designed to help women start and scale their own businesses.

  • Life Skills (BLS): Our Basic Life Skills (BLS) training equips participants with essential knowledge for daily resilience and professional growth.

Safety & Safeguarding

Protecting the future means securing our homes and communities:

  • Child Protection: We lead sensitive and vital awareness sessions on child protection and sexual abuse, ensuring families have the knowledge to safeguard their children.

  • Public Safety: To foster a culture of responsibility, we conduct regular training on Traffic Safety & Rules, as well as Fire Safety Awareness, preparing our community for emergency situations.
