APWA’s contribution to SDGs

Introduction: All Pakistan Women Association (APWA) Multan is dedicated to empowering women and supporting communities through a wide range of initiatives. This year, we continued to foster education, healthcare, community welfare, and economic independence
while aligning our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

APWA Multan is actively serving the community through its Ambulance & Health Services, offering free consultations and medicines every Friday to underprivileged areas. In partnership with Fitwell Hub, we’ve introduced telemedicine and virtual consultations, making healthcare more accessible for women. Additionally, our newly launched Yoga classes promote physical and mental wellness, giving women a safe space to focus on their well-being. Together, these initiatives reflect our commitment to holistic, inclusive, and accessible healthcare.

APWA Multan offers diverse educational courses to empower women with practical and professional skills. From Computer Training, Fashion Designing, and Beautician Courses to Driving, Functional English & IELTS, and Cooking, each program supports independence and growth. Fine Arts classes further promote creativity and self-expression. These initiatives reflect APWA’s ongoing commitment to the social and economic uplift of women in Multan.

Seminars and Conferences on Women’s Legal Rights: APWA organized several seminars and conferences focused on educating women about their legal rights. These sessions were attended by a lot of women, fostering a deeper understanding of their rights and empowering
them to advocate for themselves in various legal matters.
Internships for Women: APWA launched an internship initiative aimed at O and A level, as well as Matric and F.Sc students. The program helps students gain practical skills, strengthens their university applications, and encourages them to contribute meaningfully to their communities. This initiative empowers young women to pursue their professional goals and make impactful contributions to society.

Training by MCB Lahore: APWA signed an MOU with MCB Bank Lahore, which allowed trainers from the bank to provide valuable professional development sessions to 22 students. As a result, 14 students were offered jobs at MCB. This partnership has not only helped these women secure jobs, but also contributed to the broader economic growth of the region by empowering women in the financial sector.
Sales and Exhibitions: APWA actively participated in exhibitions throughout the year, providing a platform for students and artisans to showcase their crafts and products. This initiative promotes local businesses, fosters economic growth, and celebrates the cultural heritage of the region, supporting sustainable livelihoods for local women and artisans.

Donations (Wheelchairs and Rations): APWA’s philanthropic efforts extended to providing
wheelchairs and essential rations, supporting vulnerable families and fostering an inclusive,
compassionate community.

White Elephant Sale: APWA’s White Elephant sale, featuring gently used clothing, shoes,
bags, and household goods, provided vital financial support to the underprivileged members of our community. The sale helped raise funds for families in need and also promoted sustainability. Additionally,

Child Protection Workshop: APWA conducted a highly impactful Child Protection Workshop,
educating participants on the importance of safeguarding children’s rights and ensuring their
well-being. The workshop focused on prevention, awareness, and responsive measures to protect children from harm, promoting a safer and more secure environment for the next
generation.
